We run various Holiday Clubs each year. At our most recent club we turned Desert Detectives in a mission to find ancient treasure.

This five day adventure involved hunting to find the Mighty God Sword. Over 90 children from all over the town were led by Nick and Lynn and an army of helpers singing songs, playing games, telling stories, with drama, quizzes, puppets, craft and much more.

During the week we sought out clues by manic explorers, Doug, Sandy and June, who dug sandy dunes, in their mission to find the ancient treasure which turned out to be, not the Mighty God Sword but, the Mighty God's Word – the Bible!

Each day focused on a story from a different part of the Bible; Moses and God's Law, Joshua's place in history, King Soloman's wisdom, Jeremiah's prophesy and the life of Jesus; and by the end of the week all 66 books filled a giant Bible bookcase. The children watched a Bible story DVD, took part in games and made craft work based on each of the stories.

Activities culminated on Friday with a Holiday Club scumptious family lunch, where we all enjoyed a hot dogs, cakes and drinks.

The next Holiday Club will be from 10th to 13th April. Join us again then.
