The Church!

The leadership team and church members, welcome you to the website of Melton Mowbray Baptist Church.

Melton Mowbray Baptist Church aims to be a Christian community, celebrating God, learning from Jesus and serving in the power of the Holy Spirit. "What We Believe" says something about those things that we count important.

We were established as a church back in 1867 in the centre of the busy market town, but relocated to our present position in 1992, when the vision for a new building was realised. It is purpose-built with excellent facilities, situated near a large housing development just on the edge of town and within walking distance of the town centre.

We are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and a member of the Evangelical Alliance.

We meet at 10.00 am. each Sunday morning and enjoy a breadth of worship styles within a contemporary 'feel'. We place an emphasis upon Bible teaching applied to everyday life. There are a range of activities for all ages which take place on Sunday and during each week, and we encourage each member to take an active part in the life of the church.

Rev Nick Ashton

Welcome to the website of Melton Mowbray Baptist Church. Of course a website can only give you a feel for who we are as a church, but we hope that as you read these pages you begin to get a sense of who we are and what we are trying to do as a Christian community in Melton Mowbray.

If these pages don’t answer your question then please get in touch, and it goes without saying, that if you are ever in this neck of the woods, please drop in and see us.

Rev Nick Ashton, Minister, Melton Mowbray Baptist Church
