Visitor Information

Welcome!

Visiting any church for the first time can be a daunting experience but please be assured of a warm welcome when you come. Here’s some information which may help you …..

Where does the church meet?

As a Church we meet at various points during the week but specifically gather together on a Sunday morning at 10.00am.  The details of the events that take place on a Sunday can be found here. You can find all the details about all the other activities from our What we Do page.

We have a large car park so parking is not a problem – we also have disabled parking spaces close to our entrance. We are not far from the town centre and some people find walking to our building isn’t difficult.

We meet at the church building at:
Leicester Road
Melton Mowbray
Leics
LE13 0FA

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.  We begin with a welcome cup of tea or coffee before we formally begin. Our Sunday morning worship gathering will normally include a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs led by our worship band.  We will have a time for prayer, asking for God to intervene in particular needs for local and global situations.  We will read a passage from the Bible and then the minister or main speaker will share their understanding of the meaning and message of that passage for our lives today. There is often an opportunity to respond to the message and engage in further discussion at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served again at the end of the worship gathering and we’d love to meet and get to know you.

What happens for children at church?

We have a varied programme for the children and youth for ages 0–12. The collective name for this work is ‘Rooted’. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs together) during the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children can leave and go to their programme. You will need to go with your children and register them.

For more information about what happens in the children’s work please visit our Children’s Page.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your ‘normal’ clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
